Just a reminder that viewing closes tomorrow at 14:00.  We look forward to welcome those who have not yet had a change to view our exquisite exhibition.

Telephone bids

We will do our best to accommodate telephone bids from buyers who have made proper arrangements at least 24 hours prior to the sale and subject to availability of sufficient telephone lines.  Because this method cannot be entirely risk free due to a communication breakdown, Ashbeys cannot be held responsible for losses arising from missed bids.    

Absentee bids

Upon request, Ashbey’s shall execute absentee bids on behalf of intending buyers.  Lots will be bought as cheaply as is allowed by other bids placed and the seller’s reserves.  In the event of identical bids, the earliest will take precedence.  To ensure a satisfactory service, bidders are urged most strongly to send bids (in writing) so that they are received at least 24 hours  before a sale.

We will have a short break between 12:30 and 12:55; the next session will start at 13:00 with South African Art and Furniture.

Again we invite clients to request condition reports if they are unable to inspect lots prior to the auction.
