Ashbey's Galleries concluded another successful Public Auction on 16th October 2008, boasting a wonderful selection of Fine Art, Furniture and Fittings.
The auction included IRMA STERN "BLOSSOM IN VASE" OIL ON CANVAS, SIGNED AND DATED '44. (55 X 60CM), pictured here.
Works by Stern has enjoyed extensive International press coverage recently, after rumours that another imminent sale would reclaim her position as South African record holder for the most valuable painting. Her previous record sale was a painting which sold for
